For all lovers of magnificent forests, preraphaelits, innocent faces, of the “Ancient” wor(l)d, fairies and fire cascades. But not so much for actual lovers, as it happens. One of my all-time favourite themes in folklore is the seduction of men by creatures that prey on them exploiting their pathetic lust and surface-level “love”, with their death as the predictable outcome.
